City Executive Search welcomes Emma Watts to our business as Research Director. Emma will support with the delivery of our C-suite head-hunting projects, focusing on the talent delivery so that City Executive Search continue to deliver global leaders to exceptional businesses.
Emma started in the recruitment industry as a consultant, working her way through the ranks of boutique recruitment agencies, until she was hired by a client, Clarks Shoes, and joined as their in-house recruitment lead.
Developing her skills in internal recruitment within a HR team, Emma went onto study her CIPD and gained a Masters in Human Resource Management. Emma’s HR experience developed further when she joined TLT LLP as a Recruitment Manager and began growing her recruitment experience within the field of senior legal appointments nationally.
Emma’s legal recruitment journey brought her to Osborne Clarke where she was appointed Senior Recruitment Manager & HR Projects Manager. The role involved an eclectic mix of recruitment and HR work as she overtook a range of large-scale projects including; the auditing of recruitment processes, the roll out of new candidate screening software Vero, developing and implementing the diversity strategy, and overseeing the recruitment team’s GDPR compliance.
Emma’s most recent experience was at Bristol firm Clarke Wilmott where she led on the development and implementation of their recruitment strategy before and during the Covid pandemic, while managing the internal recruitment team.
Having worked within recruitment agencies, in-house recruitment teams, and HR departments, Emma’s 360 experience of senior management head-hunting is a perfect fit for the calibre of C-Suite roles City Executive Search work across.
On her appointment, Emma has said: “I am thrilled to be joining City Executive Search and to continue my work with senior level candidates, this time within the Fintech world. I have worked across a range of roles in my time including CFOs and CMOs, and I’m looking forward to getting to know City Executive Search’s clients and get a full understanding of their requirements.
As someone who has worked across the entire recruitment process, as well as working in HR teams, and now as a researcher, I have always enjoyed the buzz of finding the perfect fit for both client and candidate. A passion I am bringing to my new role in droves.”
Emma will help support with City Executive Search’s projects across the entire head-hunting cycle; managing the execution and direction of research; search strategy development; position specification development; candidate development; candidate interviews, assessment, and presentation; and referencing.
